Getting started

Sign up for Odden Cloud, confirm your email, use the 30-day free trial, choose a plan and take your first steps.

You can open an Odden Cloud workspace yourself, try it free for 30 days without a card, and choose a plan when you are ready.

  1. Open the signup page from the "Start your free trial" button on odden.io/cloud.

  2. Fill in the form:

    Field Notes
    Your name
Email Use your own address. Disposable email addresses are refused.
    Password At least 12 characters.
Workspace name What your team calls it, for example "Acme Inc.".
Workspace address 3 to 32 lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens. Your workspace will be at cloud.odden.io/your-address.
Plan to try Starter, Growth or Suite. Growth also asks which package it includes, Marketing or Service.
  3. Tick the box to agree to the Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Addendum.

  4. Select Start my trial.

You can try any plan. The workspace starts with the packages that plan includes, and you can change your mind when you pay. For what each plan includes, see the pricing page.

Some addresses are reserved, including any that contain "odden". If yours is refused, pick another.

Confirm your email

Nothing opens until you confirm your address. We email you a link that works once and for 24 hours.

  1. Open the email and select the link.
  2. Select Choose your password and set the password you will sign in with. Opening the link replaces the password you typed on the form, so that only the owner of the mailbox can sign in.
  3. Sign in at cloud.odden.io.

If the email does not arrive within a few minutes, check your spam folder. On the "Check your email" page, enter your address and select Send the link again. An address that is never confirmed is removed after 7 days, along with the workspace made for it.

Your 30-day trial starts when you confirm your email, not when you fill in the form.

The free trial

The trial lasts 30 days and needs no card. You can use everything in the plan you chose. Open Workspace, then Billing, to see how many days are left. We also email the workspace owners as the end gets closer.

What a trial can send

A trial cannot be used to email a list. Hosted email, campaigns, sequences and any other mailing to a list or segment all need a paid plan. Scheduled campaigns, workflows and sequences do not run during a trial.

What a trial can send, through your own email server:

Kind of mail Limit during a trial
Test emails and alerts that go only to people in your workspace 20 recipients a day
Mail that answers something a person did: ticket notifications and replies, meeting booking confirmations, form confirmation and double opt-in emails, transactional templates 100 recipients a day, and at most 5 recipients on one message

Anything else is refused and nothing is sent. The limits start again the next day. See Email for connecting your email server and for hosted email.

When the trial ends

If you have not chosen a plan when the 30 days are up, the workspace becomes read-only. Everyone can still open it and look at everything, and owners can export the data, but nothing can be changed. Nothing is deleted, and choosing a plan opens the workspace again at once. See Billing for what happens if a workspace stays unpaid.

Limits on trials

  • You can have up to three workspaces on a free trial at the same time. Choose a plan for one of them to add another.
  • If several people from the same company sign up on the same day, later signups may be asked to write to support@odden.io.

Choose a plan

Only an owner can choose a plan. You can do it at any time during the trial, and you do not have to wait for it to end.

  1. Open Workspace, then Billing.
  2. Select Choose a plan and follow the steps.

Billing explains the options, how to change or cancel later, and the contact limit.

First steps

Once you are in, the dashboard shows your workspace's numbers and shortcuts for New contact, New company, New deal and New ticket. You only see the shortcuts you are allowed to use.

A good order for a new workspace:

  1. Add your first contacts. Use New contact. See contacts and companies.
  2. Set up your pipeline if your plan includes Sales. See pipelines and stages and deals.
  3. Invite your team. Open Workspace, then Team. See Workspaces and people.
  4. Connect email. See Email.
  5. Add your postal address if your plan includes Marketing. Marketing email is held until the workspace has one. Open Workspace, then Settings, and fill in Postal address for marketing email. Owners and admins can do this. See campaigns.
  6. Set up a ticket flow if your plan includes Service. See tickets.
  7. Choose a plan before the trial ends.

Adding more workspaces

If you work for several clients, each one gets its own workspace. Once your email is confirmed you can add one with Add a workspace on your account page. See Agencies and several workspaces.
